Participation of our CEO Alberto Martín Rivals in the event on distributed generation organized by Energyear in Madrid

Our CEO explained that self-consumption has seen enormous success in Spain in recent years, but that to reach the goal of 19 GW installed in 2030 it will be necessary to continue advancing in regulation

Alberto Martín Rivals participated in an interesting debate on regulation with Carlos Montoya Rasero, María Colom Cifuentes, Estefanía Arbós Rivera and Mario Sáez Bascuñana, moderated by Piet Holtrop.

Our CEO explained that self-consumption has seen enormous success in Spain in recent years, but that to reach the goal of 19 GW installed in 2030 it will be necessary to continue advancing in regulation:

  • facilitating access and connection to self-consumption to take advantage of production surpluses
  • making the maximum distances for shared self-consumption more flexible, particularly for plants in the ground
  • promoting the electrification of the industry by lowering the PERTE requirements for decarbonization
  • giving storage incentives until batteries complete their learning curve
